Style Noir Editorial

Myself and my dear friend and incredible photographer Holly Broomhall produced and organised an editorial at Orchardleigh House in Frome, Somerset.

We had a fantastic team, our stylist Louise Sykes and our Model Tinna at Premier brought the shoot together beautifully and we created something truly gorgeous. We can't wait to show you! In the meantime, have a look at some behind the scenes images below..

We were so excited as we'd been wanting to shoot here for a very long time! Here are a few previews of how I styled the hair and makeup throughout the shoot, all by me!

I thought it was important to not make the hair "pretty" as we wanted the editorial to be more edgy.

Little sneaky peek behind the scenes, doing touch ups on our gorgeous model Tinna.

Introducing the FiftySix

Last week I had the absolute privilege of working with a new Couture company lead by Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli.

His designs have been worn by the likes of royalty and VIP celebrities, and I got to work my wonders on hair and makeup on the beautiful Megan. I was given some fabulous catwalk references, shown below.

With this reference I then was able to visualise what the client was after and created the style below.

The makeup was very natural but I ensured to create a beautiful glow and sheen to the skin, so it's looked quite ethereal to compliment all the amazing designs by Giambattista.

Some Hero products I used was; MAC Creamcolour base in Pearl and Soft and Gentle Mineralize powder to highlight. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector, Bobbi Brown lipstick in Pale Mauve.

Model Behaviour

Two beautiful girls, Olga and Christina came over to the fantastic Thea Baddiley's flat to shoot some editorial..and what stunning girls they were! First we had a soft and natural look to create a more effortless style to begin with, then we moved onto a smudgy black liner with a bold matte pillerbox red, similar to that on the Topshop Unique SS16 Show. Take a flick through and see what you think, both looks I wanted to make sure they still looked young a fresh.

Some of the hero products as follows;

What do you think of the looks? Which one do you prefer?? Glowing and fresh OR Sultry and chic..

Dulwich Deluxe

Myself and two of my favourite artists to work with, Shanie Wright and Holly Fowles-Pazdro helped a wonderful bridal party in Dulwich get ready last weekend. The bride, had a real 20s influence in her dress, makeup and bridesmaids dresses. They all adorned a beautiful unique fur shawl with a beautiful broch. What could be more glamorous!

I was only doing hair for this particular wedding. First of all I did the maid of honours hair. She had some hair extensions that hadn't been worn before so I cut them to shape and length and put those into her hair to incorporate them into the style below without looking like shes wearing extensions!

Next I had another bridesmaid who wanted a modern textured take on a french twist. I first tonged her hair with a big curling tong to add texture and movement before then beckcombing and styling into the style.

Finally, it was time to get the bride ready!! I also had to put in and place hair extensions to create a romantic chignon with volume from the extensions. This was before the veil and hair accessory was placed into her hair.

She looked an absolute dream. I adored her dress, she brought it over from Australia where she's currently living. So much 20s elegance in her look for her big day and I have to say we were all blown away by the way she looked!
